University Centre is the main center for the community of Memorial University of Newfoundland. The building is located near to Artic Avenue and Irwin's Road. The University Centre (UC) is interconnected via skywalk to many buildings such as library, Earth Sciences, and Chemistry-Physics.
The building provides a huge number of services and facilities for the students and staff such as Student Affairs and Services such as Scholarships and Awards Office, Student Affairs and Services, Glenn Roy Blunden Centre, Students Older Than Average (SOTA), Student Societies, Student Success Programs, Campus Ministries, Centre for Career Development & Experiential Learning, Centre for Student Life, Clubs and Societies, Co-operative Education Services Centre, Banking Machine (RBC ATM machine), University's Bookstore, Asian Grocery, Copy Centre, Post Office/Second-Hand Bookstore, Student Health Centre, Travel Agency, Wellness Education, The Muse, and Women's Resource Centre.
ANSWERS is one of Student Affairs and Services divisions that provides assistance to students regarding Campus Card, loans, leadership programs, and lockers. Centre for Career Development & Experiential Learning is the main agency that offers assistance to students related to employment, workshops, GTEP, Small Business Internship Program (SBIP), and ArtsWorks.
Other division provided by Student Affairs and Services is Housing, Food & Conferences Services. This division is responsible for providing options for students regarding housing on and off campus, food services on campus, and also conference management services. In addition, International Student Advising Office, which is also another division of Student Affairs and Services, provides help to international students pertaining to various matters such as immigration advice, health insurance, housing, employment, and other issues related to international students.
Metrobus is St. John's public transport and one of the bus stop locations is located in the University Centre. Metrobus transits people who are living off-campus to commute conveniently to the campus. In addition, for a refreshment, vending snack and drink machines are located in many areas in this building.
