Library is located close to Education Building, Bruneau Centre for Innovation and Research, and University Centre. Also, there is a tunnel system connected to the library and it makes the library more accessible especially during bad weather.

Library provides various facilities and services to Memorial University community such as Information and Research Help Desk, Computing Support Desk, Digital Media Centre, Centre for Newfoundland Studies (CNS), Archives and Special Collections Division, Technical Services-Computer & Data Communications, and Writing Support Centre.

Also, services provided by the library include Collection Development, Copy Services, Document Delivery, Library Instruction, and Information Services.

The library has a huge collection of various items such as Archives and Special Collections, Centre for Newfoundland Studies, Government Documents, Map Room, Memorial University Digital Archives, and Music Resource Centre.

Memorial University's community can make a request to Renew a Book, Order a Document, Suggest a Purchase,give Gifts to the Library, book a room, and update library account.

For a refreshment, Jumping Beans coffee shop, vending snack and drink machines are available in this building.
